last day of '11.

(this is a little self-portrait series that i decided to do because i didn't have anything left to edit)

this is my last post of the year! i simply cannot believe how quick the year has gone by. i feel like holding onto pieces of it but time has made a fool out of us and is slipping by far too quickly. 2011 has been a fairly good year, i suppose. i had the most fun in high school! i gained new friends (...some), inspiration, knowledge. i've grown in so many ways into a person i'm happy to be right now! also, i am incredibly grateful for all the people i have in my life, all my loved ones and also all of you reading! thank you so much for taking the time of the day to visit my blog, it still makes me smile when i see readers from all over!

but i have to say that i'm looking forward to a new beginning! i will be starting college very early, on the 3rd of Jan and things will change a lot. i hope all of you will have the most wonderful NYE yet and ring in 2012 with joy and loved ones!

i really do hope this truckload of photos made up for me not blogging for almost a week! i also really hope that all of you reading had a wonderful, lovely, fun Christmas this year. :) only 2 more days left of 2011, make the best of it, loves. it makes me so anxious and a little excited to ring in the new year, so many mixed feelings. oh, the troubles of being a teenager.

on the 31st, i might be with family or friends or i might just take it easy and stay home and watch Inception hehe.

my wonderful friend, Jada, has tagged me on this blogger game! :) ah, this is so nice to do. i haven't slept and it is 6 a.m. and i feel fresh as ever and it's about to be light soon. i feel like every minute i spend asleep is a minute wasted. (probably will crash soon but not now!)

1. i snort while laughing especially when i see something adorable or when i'm excited. (read: dorky habits)
2. i love using red lipstick! it's slowly becoming my signature look. :)
3. like Jada, i love snail mailing too! i have received gifts and notes and letters and postcards and all the loveliness from friends and family all over the world and i feel so happy everytime i receive something. it amazes me still how something that was from another continent, country and held in their hands is now in mine.
4. my favourite words are wanderlust, lovely and fluttering.
5. i have never touched snow before.
6. i am a massive fan of Harry Potter and i will get a (lightning?) tattoo as a symbol of my love for it.
7. i tend to make a bunch of different voices which either cracks people up or makes everyone feel awkward.
8. my pet peeves are fussy people, short-tempered people and cigarette smoke.
9. oldies i will love forever are Billy Joel, Queen and The Beatles.
10. i'm an incredibly sentimental person, even more than i'd prefer. i keep lots of old notes, bits and pieces in notebooks, files, books, anywhere! i especially like finding dried flowers in my many journals.
11. it's very weird (or maybe i'm just a dreamer), but i have named my sons and daughters in my mind, i'm so looking forward to meet them.

   i am a fickle mind but for now, my best answer is 'Holocene' by Bon Iver.
2. What is something that you've always wanted to say to someone, but never got the chance to?
   "I like you very much." "I love you."
3. Describe your dream home (or if you already have one).
   mmm! i have many in mind but i want a home that is the perfect size, with an old charm, like ivy creeping up on it's walls or a secret garden. a perfect mix of traditional and modern aesthetics. photographs, photographs everywhere of me and my loved ones and my best ones. mine and my significant other's belongings will be everywhere in our home (and it will reflect on who we are) because after all, that's what makes a house a home.
4. If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be?
   Annie Lennox or Nelson Mandela or Nirrimi.
5. What position do you sleep in?
   on my right side with my legs slightly snuggled up.
6. Favorite breed of dog?
   i think a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

    i suppose it exists. but i'm not the best person to ask this, my faith in love is possibly at its weakest now.

    leaving everything behind and just travel and live completely. taking risks and just be.
