(an incredibly dorky and tourist-y photo of me with a hat that was too big, it hid my eyes)
today i went exploring with YY around the city to a part i've not been to for far too long and played tourist for a day!
the Central Market is such a beautiful place, swarming with tourists and eye-catching knick knacks and beautiful pieces of arts and crafts everywhere you turn your head. it was so rich in Malaysian culture that i felt a rush of joy and renewed love for my country, for its people and culture.
it is quite difficult to explain but put simply, every culture here seems to retain its traditional ways but also forms new bonds with other cultures, creating exceptionally unique ways of life altogether. it is simply awe-inspiring to be able to look past the flaws of a country and to see its beauty and resilience once more.
p.s. i hope you all wouldn't mind just doing me a favour by taking just a second and liking this photo of mine on facebook! http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=542508972430446&set=a.542504375764239.140498.118507574830590&type=1&theater
:) thank you all so much in advance!

sometimes it's really nice to go and be a tourist in your own city! especially because most of us don't get to travel every other week so we might as well make the most of the city we live in, haha. great photos!

Sounds like you had a fun day! I know a lot of people don't like going to touristy areas but some of my favourite places in Sydney are the tourist ones.
You take amazing pictures. It's fun to do a little exploration in your own city.

Beautiful photos as always! I don't think it's weird to be a tourist in your own city, I do it all the time and sometimes people ask me "where are you from" :P
