people in Perth.

i love photographing strangers. it gives me a glimpse of another person's life and in some odd way, makes me feel more personal to the world.

"suddenly something snaps in my mind. suddenly i realise this is my youth. this is the young me i will remember when i am old and longing. these are all memories i will tell my children and grandchildren and myself. i take a mental photograph like i often do and i close my eyes tightly while it develops."

Impressive people shots :) I love, love the one of the couple walking into the market! Lovely quote, I love photographing people too but I'm still a little shy >.<

I do that with people's houses while I'm driving by. I notice little tidbits later on when I am looking at them on my computer. Really neat stuff!

This! I love it. I am big on people watching but I'm way to scared to photograph them. haha! :]

I really like the first portrait, with the dog & her hair is quite lovely too. You're brave! I'd like to photograph strangers too, but I'm too nervous hehe!

I love all of these street photos. It's not something I have ever done myself, but I've been wanting to try it a lot lately.

P.S. The name of that book you asked about is "Mapping the World of Harry Potter" - it's a collection of essays, kind of interesting but not really that great honestly hehe :P

Great pictures - personally I feel a little shy/awkward taking pictures of other people!
